Ellipsoptera gratiosa
(Whitish Tiger Beetle)
Ellipsoptera gratiosa is a diminutive tiger beetle that inhabits dry sandy areas away from water along the extreme southern counties in Alabama. This species is apparently quite rare in Alabama, and it has not been recorded to date from Mississippi. Most adult activity in our area takes place between June and August.
