(Russet-tipped Clubtail)
Stylurus plagiatus is the most commonly occurring member of its genus in Alabama and Mississippi, and it probably occurs in most (if not all) counties in both states. The usual habitat is medium to large streams and rivers, but this adaptable species can also breed along the margins of large lakes and reservoirs.
