Gynacantha nervosa

Gynacantha nervosa is a southern species, rarely recorded from the southeast except for the Florida peninsula and extreme southeastern Georgia; there is one record for the species from Alabama. The breeding habitat has been described as vegetated, but fishless, temporary pools. The adults are largely crepuscular in nature, and are usually found hanging from vegetation in shaded areas during the day.
