Cordulegaster sayi is included here based on one specimen, a female, from the Conecuh National Forest in Escambia County, Alabama; the species is not known from Mississippi. The breeding habitat for this rare, early season species is apparently restricted to tiny, mucky forested seeps near scrub oak/sandhill foraging habitat.
