Cordulegaster erronea occurs very rarely in Alabama and Mississippi. There is one adult record from extreme northeast Alabama and a couple of collections of nymphs from each state. The required breeding habitat for this enigmatic species -- sandy, undisturbed first-order forested streams -- is easily overlooked.
