Celithemis verna
(Double-ringed Pennant)
Celithemis verna is perhaps the least common member of the genus in Alabama and Mississippi; although it appears to be widely distributed across most of both states, few populations have been found. Typical breeding habitat is small ponds, including beaver ponds, with emergent vegetation.
