Expected to occur throughout both Alabama and Mississippi.  Males tend to perch on high vantage points to await females.  Underside of male's wings mostly bright yellow with brown at base and along margins.  Note yellow spot within brown at base.  Underside of female's wings dark brown with purple scales along margin and white edge along leading edge of hindwing.  Upper surface of males brown and orange with orange patch on hindwing not marked by dark veins.  Upper surface of females brown with pale spots.  Similar Species: Hobomok Skipper
