Found throughout both Alabama and Mississippi, flying from spring to fall.  Upper surface of forewing dark with single row of large pale submarginal spots.  Upper surface of hindwing with single row of large greenish submarginal spots and an expanded area of green (males) or blue (females).  Lower surface of hindwing with two rows of orange spots; one spot missing on the inside row.
