Neurocordulia alabamensis
(Alabama Shadowdragon)
Neurocordulia alabamensis is known from a few localities in both Alabama and Mississippi, mostly in the southern part of each state. Adults of this crepuscular species have a very brief (10-20 minutes) flight period just before dark, so they are probably more common than records would indicate. The preferred habitat is small to medium, sandy, shaded streams in forest.
