Enallagma signatum is extremely common in Alabama and Mississippi and can be found throughout both states at a variety of habitats, including small to large ponds, lakes, reservoirs, and rivers. Both sexes of this species are extremely similar in appearance to the much rarer E. pollutum (Florida Bluet).
