Tramea carolina
(Carolina Saddlebags)
Tramea carolina occurs throughout Alabama and Mississippi at a variety of lentic habitats, although it seems to be most common around grassy ponds. This strong, seemingly tireless flier can be found far away from any suitable breeding habitat, and the species may be migratory along the Gulf Coast.
