Progomphus bellei
(Belle's Sanddragon)
Progomphus bellei is a Coastal Plain species that has been found at a couple of sites in extreme southern Alabama; it is not expected to occur in Mississippi. Although predominately a sandy lake species over much of its range, in Alabama this dragonfly has only been found in tiny, spring-fed sandy drainages.
