Neurocordulia virginiensis
(Cinnamon Shadowdragon)
Neurocordulia virginiensis is known from a handful of scattered localities across Alabama and Mississippi, but is probably more common than records indicate. Habitat is generally thought to be medium to large streams and small rivers, often rocky. This species sometimes begins its dusk flight well before dark, and can occasionally be found foraging for insects during the day.
