Expected to occur throughout both Alabama and Mississippi in a wide variety of habitats.  Upper surface of wings orange and brown with a row of dark submarginal spots and median wavy line on both fore and hindwings.  Pale orange spot rimmed with black on forewing is diagnostic.  Lower surface of wings orange-brown with median and marginal areas of cream.
