SUMMER AZURE
Celastrina neglecta
A widespread and common summer butterfly. Very similar to Spring Azure, in fact this species has only been recognized as a distinct species since 1995. The ventral surface of the wings are usually light gray-blue with a variety of darker, variable markings. The upper surface of both males and females are bright blue with females having wider dark borders.
