SOUTHERN BROKEN-DASH

Common and widespread across both Alabama and Mississippi. Flies late spring to fall. Ventral surface of wings reddish-orange with pale yellow spotband shaped like a "3" on hindwing. Fringe on forewing gray. Males have more orange on the upper surface of wings than females. Similar species: Northern Broken-Dash
