MITCHELL'S SATYR
Neonympha mitchellii
A rare and endangered species that is reported from only four counties in Alabama and two in Mississippi. Always found near shady wetland areas. Eyespots on undersurface of forewing are more conspicuous than those of Georgia Satyr. Similar species: Georgia Satyr
