Expected to occur throughout both Alabama and Mississippi.  A large and impressive hairstreak whose caterpillar feeds on mistletoe.  Lower surface black with red spots at the base of the wings.  Orange abdomen.  The upper surface is brilliant blue, but typically hidden except during flight.
